Broker Associate Carol Luckenbach Receives 2025 Richard Sax Lifetime Achievement Award

Carol Luckenbach, broker associate with Corcoran Icon Properties, has been named the 2025 recipient of the Richard Sax Lifetime Achievement Award by the San Francisco Association of Realtors® (SFAR). The award was presented by 2024 honoree Bill Jansen at SFAR’s Installation of Officers and Directors ceremony on January 24, 2026, at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

The Richard Sax Lifetime Achievement Award is SFAR’s highest honor. It recognizes members who have dedicated their careers to the profession, the association, and the community. Known in the industry as the “Note-able” broker associate, Luckenbach has built a career spanning more than 50 years, blending sharp analysis with creative problem-solving to deliver outstanding results for her clients.

“I am deeply honored to receive this award,” Luckenbach said. “Real estate has been such an important part of my life for over five decades. I’m grateful for all the mentors, colleagues, and clients who have been part of the journey.”

Luckenbach has shared her expertise nationally through sales and management training programs and has served the industry in leadership roles for many years. She has been a long-standing director with the California Association of Realtors and previously served as a director with SFAR. In 2008, the Women’s Council of Realtors recognized her as State Member of the Year. Beyond real estate, she is an accomplished jazz vocalist who performs regularly throughout the Bay Area.

“Carol’s knowledge, integrity, and passion for helping others set her apart,” said Michael Barnacle, sales manager at Corcoran Icon Properties, Pacific Heights. “Her dedication to clients and the industry is inspiring, and this award is truly well deserved.”

The Richard Sax Lifetime Achievement Award honors the legacy of Richard Sax, a legendary San Francisco real estate figure who passed away in May 2023. The award celebrates those who reflect his lifelong commitment to leadership, service, and professional excellence.
